Cinerent was first established in 1979. A couple of friends joined together the first very limited stock of items to rent, the most important being a late ARRIFLEX IIc with some basic accessories to go with.
Originally located in the very core of Milan historical centre, fast expanding Cinerent later on moved into a building of its own, close to the small city airport of Bresso, in the green NE area of Milan quickly linked to the main highways (Autostrade), heading both northward and southward to reach any point of the whole Italian peninsula.

Cinerent staff is rather a sort of family group, people who have been sharing their lives and job along an everage of more than 20 years now.

• Mario Maronati - Cinerent managing director. Sometimes he will be at large as production manager for feature films. He keeps on checking Cinerent service level all the way, when he isn't out achasing the ultimate hitechs on the market, visiting all the main international trading meetings and exhibitions to keep up with the very state of the art.
  On summertime, Mario loves boating and scuba diving in the Red Sea.
• Gianfranco Casagrande - former cameraman for years, he has travelled worldwide and finally he settled down with Cinerent.
  He is a most experienced technical supervisor for cameras maintenance and stock equipments checking and supporting.
• Paolo Solina - assistant to optical/mechanical/electronic equipment maintenance & support.
